Having to make redundancies? We can support your business during the Corona 19 pandemic.
No matter if you are a small business, medium business or a large organisation, redundancies are never an easy time.
And right now, incredibly difficult decisions are being made about loyal, valued employees.
Redundancies are hard for everyone concerned.
If you are having to make redundancies in your business now, we can help you.
Redundancies can be handled well, despite the difficult circumstances; employees can still feel valued, and they can feel supported in moving on.
We can help you as a business both communicate business change, and support your employees to move on, to prepare for a life after redundancy and feel good about their next chapter
We’ve brought our face to face redundancy workshops online
People need support now more than ever. And just because we can’t come to your business, that doesn’t mean we can’t help.
We’ve taken the traditional model of outplacement and the workshops we have successfully delivered in person and created support that you can shape to your needs and your budget. Here is a taster of how we can help you with our ‘on-placement’ support:
On-Placement 5 Week Programme
Our online programme supports employees who have been put at risk of losing their job or who have been confirmed as being redundant and are working through their notice. The workshop is designed to support employees through the redundancy process, encouraging open discussions in a safe environment, inspiration to start to think differently about it and practical help to start to move on.
We believe that redundancy isn’t linear. People don’t just get made redundant, dust off their CV and go and get another job. There is a rollercoaster of emotions, thoughts, worries and ideas that will be gone through and our programme supports all the twists and turns involved. It aims to not only provide very practical support and a toolkit for moving forward, but we also encourage brave decisions, it’s optimistic but keeps it very real – we know this stuff isn’t easy.
During the programme, we support and encourage people to have:
- a fresh perspective on the future
- clarity on what to do next
- tools and techniques to move on, including help with CV’s, job Search strategies and interviews
- ideas for next move
- support and practical know how to help take action needed

Here’s some feedback from previous workshop participants:
“Earlier this year the business informed us that they would be closing down. I had never been made redundant before and nor had the majority of my colleagues. It was a very difficult and emotional time for us all, but we were lucky enough that the business wanted to make sure we had all the support we needed to get us through the process - that’s where Eleanor and Amanda’s workshop came in. They delivered sessions to all staff over the course of a week and a half and the feedback from staff was absolutely fantastic!!”
“Eleanor and Amanda made us feel at ease talking about how we felt and how to approach our worries and challenges moving forward. They made us see the positives around redundancy and that the feelings we were having were not unusual and we were not alone. They built up our confidence, there were tears but also a lot of laughs!”
“The support and advice that Another Door gave us was golden, not just within the sessions, but the online support network they offer after the sessions had finished was so helpful too.”
“I would urge any company that is issuing redundancies to bring in Eleanor and Amanda to help support their staff. They turned what could have been a very lonely and uncomfortable time, into a truly inspiring and supportive end to my time at in my role.”
“Amanda & Eleanor attended my workplace recently after being told by my employers that they had decided to close the business, thus activating mass redundancy for 100+ employees. I was a little apprehensive about attending a workshop of this nature as I had the misconception that I had probably 'heard it' all before but I was pleasantly surprised at how they delivered engaging content through a relaxed, yet professional manner. They were both so supportive and offered great advice on how to gain that all important confidence back that I would need as I entered the daunting job market again. “
“I know the workshops were really well received at my company, and the fact that a lot of people who attended them are much better off is a testament to them both. For those reasons, I would have no hesitation in recommending this workshop to others who are going through the unfortunate situation of redundancy.”
